Remove a Tag

When a cow stays on the farm and in third party protocols, but her tag is removed, it is disassociated from her record in AfiFarm. This releases the tag number so it can be used again.

To remove a tag from a cow:

  1. In AfiFarm, search for the cow, do one of the following:

    • Type her herd ID in the search box and press ENTER.

    • Click Find Animal to open the drop-down list of other ways to search for the cow.

  2. Open her cow card (Card ID).

  3. In the cow card, find the Tag field. This field holds her current tag number.

  4. Delete the number and click Save.

Note: Any yellow field is required information and must contain a value before the record can be saved. Any white field is optional and can be deleted or left blank.
